INSPIRATION AT THE DRAWING TABLE

CROSS-BRAND COLLABORATION & LICENSING
I believe in the transformative power of teamwork to evolve and elevate brands and their designs. With extensive experience in design, sourcing, and production, I act as a liaison to align visions, preserve brand DNA, and enhance market positioning. I lead project design direction, seasonal forecasting, key item selection, and high-level color and print coordination to drive success.
My expertise includes concept sketching, material R&D, sample development, technical pack creation, and sourcing — all to meet cost and timeline goals. I enjoy transforming innovative ideas into market-ready products and helping clients bring out-of-the-box concepts to life.
Below are some projects that showcase what I can deliver. I thrive on spotting inspirational pieces and guiding clients in turning unique ideas into mass-market success.

SAM EDELMAN -- LIFESTYLE

TREND ANALYSIS & INSPIRATION LAYOUT

Trend forecasting is central to my work. I enjoy looking ahead to shape seasonal color palettes, key themes, and inspiration that align with emerging trends. My process is tailored to each client, with all visuals customized to meet their unique needs.
A notable project includes my collaboration with Minnetonka Moccasin and model Lottie Moss. We combined Lottie’s iconic style with Minnetonka’s heritage, blending an L.A./Bohemian vibe with London Punk. This resulted in an exclusive shoe collection launched worldwide in 2019. I presented three capsule concepts, which were then integrated into a cohesive, compelling collection.

TECHNICAL DRAWINGS & TECH PACKS

Creating a successful piece requires meticulous organization around a clear blueprint. The images below showcase my CAD work, highlighting the detailed information I provide to guide factories in achieving accurate, efficient production. A key strength of mine is collaborating directly with vendors and factories to streamline development, ensuring timely communication and smooth product execution.

PERRY ELLIS -- RUNWAY COLLECTION -- SPRING 2017

For Spring 2017, I worked on the runway collection below for Perry Ellis. This collection was centered on showing how mashed, mixed, and layered aspects of society have become vital for today and how everything is about collage, not only in an art form but also in daily life. It was geared towards how people interact with society, specifically how social media has mashed music, fashion, and art together to create an abundance of layers. The collection featured beautiful nylons, which were worked into outerwear, bags, shoes, accessories, and trims.

PERRY ELLIS -- RUNWAY COLLECTION -- SPRING 2018

Vogue named this Perry Ellis Spring 2018 Runway collection "low-key but highly convertible." The theme of this collection was to push the Perry line, a label that has always been a bit non-prescriptive. It’s not obvious in a way that says, ‘Oh, he’s going to the office’ or ‘He’s going out on the town.’ So, every look was created to be a mix of work and play, which is exactly how life should be.

PERRY ELLIS -- RUNWAY COLLECTION -- FALL 2017

This FW 2017 Perry Ellis collection nodded to 90s nostalgia and took a step back by playing with P.E. *Physical Education'/Perry Ellis. The accessories were inspired by simple, clean silhouettes but constructed out of complex patterns. Note the minimal seaming on pattern layouts, which was intended to showcase how classics can evolve in unpredictable ways.

PERRY ELLIS -- RUNWAY COLLECTION -- FALL 2016

This fall 2016 collection featured impressions intended to be wearable in more than one way. This painted leather briefcase was transformative. Thanks to the design/pattern, it could be flipped and worn inside out while still looking professional.
This oversized duffel was featured on WGSN.com as one of the key Utility Rucksacks of the season. Thanks to smart design and strap placement, the item could be worn in a variety of ways. The makeup was a nubuck suede bonded to neoprene, so the piece was ultra lightweight and versatile for clients on the go.

PERRY ELLIS -- RUNWAY COLLECTION -- SPRING 2016

This spring 2016 collection was inspired by a trip to Tel Aviv and watching how minimal but smart men dressed on the street. I wanted to create an accessory that could be worn multiple ways and for various events. The 2-in-1 backpack was developed as a gym bag that could take someone from morning to night.

PERRY ELLIS -- RUNWAY COLLECTION -- FALL 2015

Inspired by Perry Ellis himself, who notoriously stated, "I'm very happy and excited to meet you", I worked the verbiage into outerwear, hosiery and web tape detailing which was sewn onto bags as an accent nod to the collection.

FEED x TARGET COLLABORATION

Directed by Laura Bush, this 'Feed for Target' LTO featured organic materials, and a portion of the proceeds went back to the FEED company

ALICE & OLIVIA COLLABORATION

A collaboration with Stacy Bendit to help launch her handbag and SLG collection. Styles were intended to take the guest from day to night in a fashionable and Alice & Olivia way, meaning styles had a wink with the silhouette, but were emphasized by color/pattern play. This impression was adopted and sold as an LTO for Saks Fifth Avenue stores.
